SOL #3: What job is more important?

Today on the way to basketball, Drew asked a really good question. Whose job is more important? Mine or my husbands. I am a language arts coach and my husband is an electrical maintenance technician(short for, works on the power lines to help restore electricity). This took some thinking on my part. 
Most jobs serve a purpose. Right? A teacher is a necessity. Helping students is an EXTREMELY important job...a thankless job. However, during storms an electrical technician is essential. It's important to have power. We take it for granted. We need people like my husband to go up on the wires during storms to restore power. 
Before arriving to the game Drew exclaimed, "Mom, both jobs are equal because they serve two purposes." And I agree!

SOL #17: Vacation

I´m super, duper excited!! I just booked a flight down south for my family. I love last minute vacations, especially after the unexpected late winter we´ve been having. I can´t wait to surprise my family in the morning. I´m looking forward to the beautiful weather and a break from the day to day hecticness. This will be a time to kick my feet up and enjoy the beach and pool. I look forward to reading a favorite book or two and having time to breathe, slow down, enjoy life and my family!

I’m super excited to prepare for Easter tomorrow. The kids can’t wait for the Easter bunny to come on Sunday. A bonus- the weather is going to be beautiful. We even have a fun filled Easter egg hunt planned.
